Full day mountain biking in Ambohimanambola
Departure will be after about thirty minutes from the city center, not far from the banks of the Ikopa River. After 2 km of alternating old asphalt road and shaded dirt tracks, you will reach the left bank of the Ikopa for a very fast crossing in a canoe (around 30 meters). You will be able to see the trade of extracting river sand intended for construction use for the city. After crossing, you will continue on a wide flat track before joining a first cobbled climb and a series of climbs and descents. Then you take a magnificent single track overlooking the Ikopa river. At this point you enter the wildest part of the circuit which is approximately 5 km long. You will cross the Ikopa River again but on foot. Leaving this single track part you will join a wider track on a beautiful 4 km climb passing in front of the gates of the very famous Tsiafahy remand center. After the climb you will continue alternating up and down on a moderately wide track before starting a technical descent on the hillside. A small portage will be expected at the end of this descent, after which you will finish on a wide track until returning to the starting point.
